This Week in Books | 01.27.16

I am joining in with the lovely Lipsy @ Lipsy’s Lost and Found’s feature which highlights our week in books. A similar theme is run by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. I shall be sharing what I’m reading now, then and next!

I just started The Siren by Kiera Cass this morning, and am also reading an arc copy of Angels Dawn by Somali di Silva.

I just finished Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys (review here), as well as the final book in The Lunar Chronicles, Winter, by Marissa Meyer (series review here).

I’ll probably read Forbidden by Kimberley Griffiths Little next. But we will see.

What am I waiting on?

I cannot wait to read the new Beatrix Potter book, The Tale of Kitty-in-Boots featuring Peter Rabbit, that was just announced yesterday morning! Discovered after 100 years, it is set to be published in the fall. And the illustrator is Quentin Blake, who illustrated Roald Dahl’s books!!

What are you currently reading?

  1. I never would have imagined Beatrix Potter illustrated by Quentin Blake. Probably because, for me, Blake’s drawing are such a big part of Roald Dahl’s stories I find it hard to picture them anywhere else.
I’ve seen The Siren about a lot – I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for visiting my WWW post earlier and happy reading!

  2. I’m very tempted by The Siren, if it’s anything like The Selection books I’ll love it in a ‘I should be ashamed but I’m not’ kind of way 🙂

    • She’s not a bad author. I seem to have mixed feelings about her books. The Selection series are her best, I think. I didn’t like The Heir, and I thought The Siren was alright.
