Ten Books To Read If You Are In The Mood For Cozy Mysteries

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  Each week there is a new topic and this week’s topic was a freebie, so I decided to do: Ten Books To Read If You Are In The Mood For X

Some of my favorite cozy mysteries:

  1. Flowerbed of State by Dorothy St. James
  2. The Scarlet Pepper by Dorothy St. James
  3. State of the Onion by Julie Hyzy
  4. Murderers Prefer Blondes by Amanda Matetsky
  5. Curiosity Thrilled the Cat by Sofie Kelly
  6. Aunt Dimity’s Death by Nancy Atherton
  7. Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye by Victoria Laurie
  8. Homicide in Hardcover by Kate Carlisle
  9. Death at Buckingham Palace by C.C. Benison
  10. Room With a Clue by Kate Kingsbury

  1. Nice List. I am not a big cozy mystery reader. I read 2 Jane Austen mysteries where Jane Austen was the detective and thought they were good but nothing special. The murderer were to easy to figure out in both books. The writing was great. I love The Highbury Murders by Victoria Grossack. I highly recommend it. Emma is the detective and I thought the author was true to the original characters(which is a must for me in JAFF). She just came out with a new book The Meryton Murders which I can’t wait to get to.

  2. I haven’t read many cozy mysteries at all, and none of these, but I think I’ll check a few out! Sometimes, a great mystery is a perfect companion for curling up and reading. 🙂
