This Week in Books: 03.23.16

I am joining in with the lovely Lipsy @ Lipsy’s Lost and Found’s feature which highlights our week in books. A similar theme is run by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. Click on the book covers to go to the Goodreads page.

I’m currently reading The Pharaoh’s Secret by Clive Cussler (a favorite author of mine) and I’m sort of obsessed with it right now. It makes no sense, because most of his books follow pretty much the same formulaic pattern, but a favorite character from another of his series made an appearance and I sort of freaked out.

This was basically me:

I just finished The Great Hunt by Wendy Higgins, and I really enjoyed it. I wasn’t blown away by it or anything, but it was a really well told tale.

I am determined to read Lair of Dreams next. I’ve been wanting to for a while, and have just not felt in the mood to pick it up. It was a secret santa gift, so it’s about time I read it!

What am I waiting on?

[Linking up with Breaking the Spine]

A new Flavia de Luce book is set to come out in 2017 and I cannot wait!

  1. Oh, Clive Cussler! I’m ashamed to have never read any of his books yet… But I’m hoping to change that soon. I want to read Lair Of Dreams as well! 🙂

    Happy Wednesday! Here’s my WWW.

  2. I’ve had The Diviners on my TBR for almost a year. I really must get round to it. I didn’t realise it was a series! I hope you enjoy Lair of Dreams.

Thanks for visiting my WWW earlier and happy reading 🙂

  3. Love the Dean GIF! I haven’t read a Clive Cussler book but I do love when a character from another novel makes an appearance in another of the author’s books. I love making all of those connections.
    Happy reading! 🙂

  5. I feel like The Great Hunt has a really interesting concept. I’m bummed it’s had such mixed reviews because I’d be interested in checking it out! I’ll probably still pick it up to see what I think for myself, of course!
