This is a simply brilliant book. Seriously. I’m not a poetry buff. I generally avoid it, because half the time I don’t understand it, and I think my mind is just too logical, too literal sometimes. But this book made me cry. I could connect with this book, maybe not on some subjects, but with the emotions in this book that clearly come across and the message it sends. It is a heart wrenching, personal look into Amanda’s life, but also an empowering book—the princess saves herself, what more can you not like about that?
I think, more than anything, I loved this book because it was poetry that I could connect to and understand. And for that, I am grateful.
My Rating: 5/5 stars
