This Week in Books | 08.24.16

I am joining in with the lovely Lipsy @ Lipsy’s Lost and Found’s feature which highlights our week in books. A similar theme is run by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words

I am currently reading Austenland by Shannon Hale, and I can’t believe this is my first time reading it! Since I’m close to the age of the heroine, I can definitely relate to this book! I am also reading When Have All the Girls Gone by Jayne Ann Krentz (So. Good.), and Dead Girls by Tessa Marie. This book makes me soooooooo glad I was homeschooled.

I recently finished Nevernight by Jay Kristoff (review here), Fate of Flames by Sarah Roughly (review to come out closer to review date), and The Muse by Jessie Burton (review here)

I’ll be reading Inked by Eric Smith next, once I finish a couple of my current reads.

What am I waiting on?

[Linking up with Breaking the Spine]

Dragon's Price

What are you currently reading?

  1. Austenland sounds so good! I like the idea! And who could resist Mr. Darcy? 😀 I’m glad you enjoyed Nevernight, I’ve heard great things about it but I don’t know if it’s for me.
    Happy reading!!

  2. I tried reading the eARC of Nevernight and I didn’t like it. It was too hard to really enjoy the story when the footnotes were at the end of the chapter instead of the bottom of the page. Trying to flip back and forth on a Kindle was not easy and so annoying! Hopefully when my library gets the book in, I might check out the finished version. I only read about 14% of it before I just gave up on it.

    • That’s the one thing I dislike about kindles is the footnotes. It’s definitely easier to read when the physical copy is right there. I hope you enjoy reading the physical copy of Nevernight!
