Book Review | Windwitch (Truthwitch #2)

I love Susan Dennard’s writing. I fell in love with Truthwitch [review here], and the friendships that were in that story. It moves along at a clipping pace, and even when there are no “action” scenes, if you will, it never feels boring. Her world-building is also something I admire about her writing. This book carries on from where Truthwitch left off.

What I loved most about this book was the tense relationship between Iseult and Aeduan. I remember from reading book one that Aeduan was one of my favorite characters because he was this grey character. He is still that grey character, but I loved seeing him interact with Iseult and to see their relationship grow. And honestly, they were the best part.

I was definitely missing one of my favorite friendships in this story (Merik and Kullen). I’m still not recovered from book one!

Overall, this was a wonderful, complex story. It was just missing something for me. I can’t quite pinpoint what.

My Rating: 4/5 stars
