Heed the warning in the description: “contains rapid hockey fans, misunderstood d*ck pics, hockey players at the opera and exploding ovaries.” Heed especially the last warning. This oozes with cuteness and adorableness, and where can I find a Matt Eriksson??
We are introduced to a new character in this book: Hailey Taylor Emery, aka HTE (“Hottie”), and she quickly became a new favorite next to all the other leading ladies in Bowen’s/Kennedy’s books. Both she and Eriksson are recently divorced, and suffering bruised confidences. Hailey runs Fetch with her ex-husband. Fetch is a virtual assistant company—whatever you need, Fetch will get for you. One of Fetch’s clients happens to be Eriksson, Through a few coincidences and ploys, Matt and Hailey meet, and sparks fly.
Matt is now trying to be a single father and trying to deal with the fact that he somehow failed at his marriage. I just wanted to wrap him up in a blanket and cuddle him.
Honestly, the only part of this book I didn’t care for was Kara, Eriksson’s ex-wife. All I wanted throughout the book was for Matt or Hailey to give her dressing down.
My Rating: 4.5/5 stars
