My advice: read with the lights on.
Just . . . wow. This was so intense. I switched back and forth between listening to this on audiobook and kindle, and ended up finishing this on my kindle because the audiobook was just. too. slow. I needed to know what happened next like yesterday. There’s plot twists, a disturbing serial killer (though, really aren’t they all disturbing?), and absolutely brilliant writing. I think this is Rachel Caine’s best work to date. I love her Great Library books, but this writing is at a whole other level.
This book is all about survival and what lengths you would go to to protect your children. If you love a good thriller, you need to read this.
