I am joining in with the lovely Lipsy @ Lipsy’s Lost and Found’s feature which highlights our week in books. A similar theme is run by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. I can’t believe it is 2017 already! But thank god 2016 is over.
Gertie has her greatest mission yet: become the best fifth grader in the universe! This was cute story, and had adorable illustrations.
As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, I LOVE Jessica Day George’s books, especially her Castle Glower series. So this past weekend I decided to pick up her newest book in that series and read it. And promptly finished it in about two days. It. Was. So. Good.
My mom had this on audiotape when I was younger, and I would put this story on practically every night, listening to Julie Andrews Edwards tell me this story about a young orphan girl who just wanted a place to be truly hers. I listened to this story so much, I ruined the cassette tape! There is just something magical about this story, one that I love to go back and read, even now that I am an adult.
