Friday Finds is originally featured at Babs Book Bistro and showcases the most interesting books I’ve encountered during the last week and have added to my neverending TBR list on Goodreads.
I was quite excited to see that Amanda Quick was coming out with a new book, and one that took place in the 1930s! I wasn’t expecting that setting as Jayne Ann Krentz set her Quick books in the Victorian era, while her JAK books are set in the modern era. I have to say that I love this new setting! It doesn’t seem like the 30s is much explored by authors and it was interesting to see this era through Quick’s writing.
This was a fascinating story about Cliff House in Nantucket and the women who have lived in it; and it’s all tied together by this Book of Summer.
I am joining in with the lovely Lipsy @ Lipsy’s Lost and Found’s feature which highlights our week in books. A similar theme is run by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words.
